Lets make it short.
The Hunting Party was released in theaters in 2007, Loosely based off of a true story, this film has received almost a perfect split of conflicting reviews. You either love or hate this film. Call it a cult classic, call it the worst movie ever made, there is no denying the complexity of this film.
The film follows the life of an American journalist, Simon (Richard Gere), during and after the Bosnian War. Due to personal struggles, he loses his composure on-air while reporting, and subsequently loses his job. His camera man Duck (Terrence Howard), however, continues on with the network, and the two part ways. Simon takes up freelancing to attempt to gain back some of the credibility he lost when he was let go from his network job.
Years later, when Duck returns for work in the area with a young journalist, Benjamin (Jesse Eisenberg), Simon convinces the two of them to come along with him to interview a dangerous Bosnian war criminal, who he actually has intentions of capturing to collect a massive bounty.
The Hunting Party follows the exploits of these men as they attempt to find and capture "The Fox".

The movie is loosely based on an article published in Esquire magazine, about a group of 5 reporters who met together for drinks in Sarajevo, Bosnia. They had seen an article in a local magazine that claimed that a notorious war criminal had been spotted in a village near the border of Montenegro. The reporters were mistaken for a covert ops team by locally stationed UN officers, who began to aid them in their quest. The journalists played along with the assumption, and found that the UN and NATO were actively trying not to capture the criminal.
